Adam Mozzer

This page is reserved for Adam Mozzer. I am a Mech. Engineering student at UMass Lowell. I am currently working with two other students to create an arduino powered obstacle avoidance vehicle. I recently purchased my first arduino unit. I am excited to learn to about the arduino because I think its capable of performing complex tasks using very minimal power.

Here is a part I made:

Volume: 197.27 cubic mm

Surface Area: 385.96 square millimeters

Center of Mass: X =1.25  Y= 2.74  Z=0.00

Ultrasonic Sensor Bracket

I designed this part to 3D print. It is an L-bracket that will be used to mount to the Ultrasonic sensor onto a servo.

The sensor will be used as a set of eyes for the robot. The servo will sweep back and fourth...scanning ahead. If the sensor returns a value less than X, the robot will turn and head a different direction.

  • The bracket will mount to the servo head using 1/16" x 3/8" screws.
  •  The ultrasonic sensor will be glued or taped to the bracket, because the mounting holes are too small for commonly available hardware (requires screws smaller than 1.2 mm diameter)
